One Million Swings is my online account of my quest to master the game of golf and take myself as far as I can within the game. My name is Frank, I live in Ohio, and unfortunately my life has come to a bit of a standstill due to PTSD. But while I can’t do everything I’d like to do with my life, one thing I can do is swing a golf club. And so it has become my personal quest to swing one as often as possible, and see just how far a man can stretch his potential.

I’m 29, young enough to learn golf and adopt an intense physical training regimen, but far older than most professional golfers ever started. Of course, I don’t know that I’ll ever become a professional golfer, but I’m interested to see how good I can get with an advanced training routine. That routine calls for me to take 1,000,000 practice swings a year, hopefully for two full years, giving me what I approximate is the same number of practice swings that a PGA Tour pro has under his belt by the time he begins.

I hope I can stay with my plan, I certainly don’t have anything better to do, and I have found I do love to swing a golf club. This blog will continue to track my progress on my plan, to give me a space to discuss my life, and to write any interesting article about golf I can think up for my own amusement. Here’s to my celebration July 1st, 2013.
